UWC® Bantamweight Champion to Defend Against Former WEC Champ at UWC REDEMPTION October 3, 2009 at Patriot Center - Chase Beebe and Mike Easton Headed for World-Class Showdown

One fighter is the current Ultimate Warrior Challenge (UWC) bantamweight world champion looking for a big-time win over a world-class competitor. The other is a former World Extreme Cagefighting (WEC) bantamweight champion looking to redeem himself in the eyes of the mixed martial arts (MMA) community. Both are considered among the best in the world at their weight class.

The two ultimate warriors -- Mike “The Hulk” Easton (8-1) and Chase Beebe (12-4), who were scheduled to battle last February at UWC Man “O” War only to have the fight cancelled at the last-minute when Beebe pulled out with a training injury -- will be the Main Event at UWC REDEMPTION on Saturday, October 3, 2009, at the Patriot Center in what promises to be another star-studded, action-packed show from the East Coast MMA leader.

“The UWC is very pleased this fight is finally going to happen; we’re willing to put the past behind us and bring the fans what we promised them in February,” said UWC founder and CEO S. Marcello Foran about bringing back Beebe to face Easton. “Both fighters are ranked in the top 25 in the world in the bantamweight division and these are the kind of fights we want to promote. Washington DC (September 2009) – Eight months ago, the Ultimate Warrior Challenge (UWC), the premier Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization on the East Coast, showcased the pro debut of iron willed MMA Fighter Iman “Mannie” Achhal. After fleeing her home country of Morocco to avoid an arranged marriage and surviving nearly a decade of poverty and periods of homelessness, the UWC woman’s rising star was victorious in her first appearance. UWC® Showcasing World-Class Flyweight Title Fight at UWC 7 REDEMPTION October 3, 2009 at Patriot Center Arena / John Dodson and Pat Runez Are Set to Tangle for Title

The Ultimate Warrior Challenge (UWC), the premier Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) organization on the East Coast announced today a second title fight for their October 3rd “UWC 7: REDEMPTION” between Greg Jackson product John “The Magician” Dodson and Arizona Combat Sports’ Pat Runez. The fight will be held at the George Mason Patriot Center Arena in Fairfax, Virginia and will be contested at 125lbs for the UWC Flyweight Championship title.

“One of the next big things in MMA is going to be the growth and development of the flyweight division in the United States. The reality is there is enormous talent out there and we believe we’ve found some of the best and hungriest to prove themselves. What does it take to put on an MMA Show - Behind the scenes with UWC CEO S. Marcello Foran By: Kelly Crigger

No one has a monopoly on time. I wanted to know what it was like to promote an MMA show from the head honcho’s chair, but thirty minutes into the meeting all I knew was that a CEO’s time is like Lucky Charms-someone’s always after it. In a cramped room of a historic building just south of the nation’s capitol, his staff waited patiently to begin the initial planning meeting of the Ultimate Warrior Challenge’s fifth MMA show.
